Our weekly dances are primarily at a mainstream level, however since 2008, we have also been running beginner classes, and at least one bracket each evening is dedicated to teaching (or revising if you’ve forgotten something!).
Guests are always welcome at the club. Between mainstream dancing and teaching, we usually have a minimum of 2-3 sets on the floor, so you’ll rarely be lacking a partner! Our caller Darren Taylor does his best to keep everyone on their toes, however we do also occasionally have guest callers come in from other clubs around Australia. Usually these evenings will be posted on our calendar.
Learn to Square Dance
Never square danced before? Not sure what to expect? That’s no reason not to find out! If you’re just interested to see what square dancing is all about, then come along to one of our weekly dances. If you like what you see, then come along to our next beginner session!
Our full beginner programs run for 6-8 months, and are designed to get you dancing full mainstream by the end of the program. The only requirement going in is that you know your left from your right! (However, most people often find that they don’t know it as well as they think they do!).
